Yemen Wedding Song

The Traditional Yemenite Bride is know for her detailed attire with veiled headdress and elaborate jewelry. Her hands have been decorated with henna. Photos are the only time they are seen together during the day of their wedding celebration. While hidden earlier for several hours inside a white limousine, the bride leads a caravan of cars honking horns through the streets of the town to announce the start of the wedding. The Sephardic Jewish community of Rhodes now living in Seattle, Los Angeles and Portland has a similar tradition.
